Above is Part 1 of the chat I had with Vancouver’s future bass R&B babes, I M U R.

Amine Bouzaher (bass/violin), Jenny Lea (vocals/keys), and Mikey J Blige (production/guitar) speak about their beginnings in music, moving around, cultural influences, their first albums, how Mikey got into production, changing majors in university, when Jenny and Mikey first met, the influence of R&B, and sexual autonomy.

In Part 2 the band shares how Amine become a permanent fixture in the group, Amine’s old project Simple Machines, being on stage alone vs a group, Little Death, the album theme, the affect of trauma, influence of sexuality on their music, who’s influencing them currently, working in Montreal vs Vancouver, and Jazz influences.
